The extended highlights from Fort William show all the action of the enthralling Sunday runs for the Elite Men and Women. There was strong support for Rachel and Gee Atherton in front of their home crowd.
Rachel and Gee missed out on the wins at Fort William however with France’s Emmeline Ragot winning the women’s race and Aaron Gwin winning the men’s event.
Emmeline’s run on the wet and muddy course was 1.3 seconds faster than Rachel’s. Rachel had started last after setting the fastest time in qualifying the previous day and was clearly disappointed to miss out on top spot.
In the men’s event, Aaron Gwin took his second UCI World Cup win in a row. The Scottish crowd had plenty to cheer with Brits Danny Hart and Gee Atherton taking podium places with second and third respectively.show less
