The finals might not have even got started in the iXS EDC, but there was still plenty to enjoy
The weather might have got asshow more dirty as the muddy ground under the leaden skies and fog, which stopped the helicopters even taking off, but fortunately the seeding run on Saturday was an action-packed affair.
And it was that Saturday riding that determined the result on Sunday.
Women’s winner Rachel Atherton certainly wasn’t complaining:
“I’d decided not to race,” explained Rachel, “then they cancelled the race and went off [seeding] results from yesterday.
“I was pretty happy. I didn’t have to get muddy or wet and I saved my body!”
Remi Thirion’s excellent seeding run time on Saturday meant he took the honours in the men’s event.show less
