Watching Videos

Requirements

You will need to have a broadband connection to watch the videos. We also recommend that you have a recent version of Adobe Flash installed to play the videos correctly. The extreme.com player automatically checks if you have the correct Adobe Flash version installed and redirects you to update your version.

If you using a smart phone or an Apple OS device then we’ve got it covered and you’ll be asked if you’d like to use the mobile version of the site (don’t panic you’ll still be able to watch all the latest videos).

Full Screen

Every video has a full screen button at the bottom right of the extreme.com player. Once you click the fullscreen button, the video will continue playing in full screen mode. To exit full screen, simply press the escape button or double click on the video with your mouse.

HD Quality

Some video are available in a HD version. You can switch to a lower or higher quality using the menu button HD, located in the menu bar of the player. The extreme.com player automatically detects your internet connection speed and adapts it's quality to it.

No Sound

Try to check if you have your speakers turned on. If the sound still doesn't work, try turning up the volume within the player.

Freezing Image

If you videos freezes all the time, you might not have a fast enough internet connection. Check our requirements for more information or you could try simply restarting your computer.

Watching LIVE

The count down shows when the LIVE is scheduled to begin and the schedule provides further information on when each event will begin. After the live webcast is finished we’ll publish the replay as soon as possible so you can catch up on any of the action you may have missed.

Where possible we do try to provide a mobile stream but check each event for more details.

Downloading videos

You can not download videos from extreme.com. extreme.com does not own the rights to redistribute the videos outside of our network. If you would like to feature one of our videos on your own site, you may embed it using the extreme.com player (see below).

Embedding

extreme.com PLAYER

Every video or LIVE shown on extreme.com is free to embed in your website using the extreme.com player. While watching the video use the button within the player and the specific embed code for that video will automatically be copied to your clipboard. Paste this code in your website and the extreme.com player with that specific videos will be shown.

RSS

Every channel has its own RSS feed. You can click the RSS icon in your menubar of your browser to subscribe. The RSS feed is updated automatically with the latest videos.

Uploading Videos

Upload Page

extreme.com only highlights the best high quality videos that are well edited. You can upload your videos via extreme.com/admin, uploaded videos will be published to the members section. There’s a lot of talented content produces out there so we regularly upgrade high quality members videos and accounts to allow these pro users to upload directly to the main site. This is to ensure only the best videos are published on extreme.com

Rights

The owner of the video always own the right to his video and can remove his videos at any time from extreme.com. By uploading a video to extreme.com the uploader agrees to the terms and conditions.

Accepted Videos

We accept content from the following categories: Auto Sports, BMX, FMX, Ski, Kitesurf, Motocross, Mountain Bike, Outdoor, Skateboard, Snowboard, Surf, Wakeboard and Windsurf provided it is uploaded by a person who holds all the necessary rights to the uploaded material, which meets our technical requirements and accepts our terms and conditions.

Quality

The higher the quality of the video the better the compression will be. We recommend you upload your videos in HD quality. The minimum requirement is 640 pixels wide with a datarate above 900 kbps.

Non Edited videos

If you have a video that is not edited, but you wish to feature it on extreme.com, you can always contact us onlineinfo@chellozone.com

Offline Formats

We only accept DVD, Data DVD, CD or MiniDV tapes. All other formats are rejected and will not be placed online.

Music Rights

We have secured a SABAM license to stream music over the Internet. We kindly insist that you supply us the name of the band(s), the name of the track(s) as well as the duration of the tracks for each clip submitted. The producer does not incur any costs for publishing its videos on extreme.com. You can include artist and track information when uploading your video.

New Channels

Additionally when we receive enough footage from new genres we will evaluate our capacity to generate new channels on demand. So feel free to send us your requests on onlineinfo@chellozone.com.
