The BRITS 2010
Taking place right now in Laax, Switzerland is the BRITS 2010, a gathering of the UK's finest skiers and snowboarders all competing to win the coveted title of BRITS champ. With days 1 and 2 of competition complete, there has already been some celebrating as both Emma Lonsdale and James Machon retained their titles in ski halfpipe whilst it was a double celebration for the Bankes family as Thomas and Charlotte both took victory in snowbaordcross.
Day two saw the action continue as James Woods took the win in men's ski slopestyle with Katie Summerhayes taking the gold in the women's, while Billy Morgan & Katie Blundell took gold respectively in the snowboard big air comp; Billy throwing down a 1080 double cork.
Day three sees the snowboard halfpipe comp and the skiercross, with day four featuring snowboard slopestyle and ski big air and then one of the highlights of the BRITS on day 6, the Red Bull Home Run, which is utter mayhem.
