Bikepark Leogang prepares for 2012

There are still two more months of patient waiting needed until the 2012 season really kicks off in Leogang, but for the Bikepark Leogang, it's going to be worth the wait as this year it plays host to The UCI Mountain Bike and Trials World Championships from August 29th to September 9th.

An absolute highlight of the season and one of the most anticipated events of the whole mountain bike season: The UCI Mountain Bike and Trials World Championships will see an entire region enjoying two weeks of concentrated mountain bike action on a world-class level, luring thousands of people to see their favourite riders in action. 

With over 800 athletes taking part in various competition and the world champion title up for grabs in the disciplines of DHI, 4X, XCO, trials and for the first time, cross country eliminator, this is an absolute mandatory date for every fan of mountain biking!

However, it's not all about the World Champs in Leogang this year, the actions kicks off with the Out of Bounds Festival from May 24th to May 27th; there is an iXS European Downhill Cup tour stop as well as the Euro Four Cross Series (EFS).

Those who prefer jump comps should not miss the 26TRIX fueled by Monster Energy. The event programme includes the obligatory Bunny Hop Contest and, of course, the notorious Override Afterparty fueled by Monster Energy. The Out of Bounds Festival is already the second mandatory excursion to Leogang in 2012.

Openign weekend is May 17th to 20th and from the middle to the bottom station most trails will already be open for a ride. Be it the Flying Gangster (Freeride), Bongo Bongo Trail (Freeride), Hangman (Singletrail) or the Speedster (Downhill) – the Bikepark Leogang offers fun, action and challenge for bike rookies and absolute pros. The perfectly tended and continuously improved trails demonstrate beyond doubt that quality is a valuable good in Leogang. It will definitely be worth finding out what is new in the bike park.
