Two New Visitors to the Top Step of the World Cup Podium in Dalby Forest
The men's and women's elite XC races at Round 2 of the UCI MTB World Cup in Dalby Forest, UK, delivered some surprising and historic moments in both events.
France's Julie Bresset became the first woman to be both a U23 and Elite Women's XCO World Cup winner at the same time. Meanwhile, Denmark's Annika Langvad claimed her country's first ever World Cup podium in XCO.
In the Men's event, Jaroslav Kulhavy from the Czech Republic took the first World Cup win of his career by a very convincing 50 second margin. The 38.15 km race covered 1 Start Loop + 6 Laps, at an average speed of 22.69 km/h.
