The sun was out for training in Windham, but the unusual slippery american dirt made the track really tricky. The riders were having trouble trying to get used to it and finding their rhythm on a track that actually looks quite fast. The weather though is supposed to stay dry which could change the conditions until sunday.  

Floriane Pugin and Emilie Siegenthaler were already riding their 2011 Voltage DH frames, and the Scott11 mechanics are building the new Gamblers for Fabien Pedemanaud and Nick Beer.   Nick's and Fabien's helmet can be seen below...  

Interesting News from the UCI: Floriane Pugin moved to the first spot in the UCI world ranking because of her silver medal at the european championships, and Nick Beer moved to 9th place at the world ranking because of his silver medal.    

GERMAN TRANSLATION: Erstes Training in Windham und die Führung in der Weltrangliste für SCOTT11  

Die Sonne schien heute in Windham, aber der ungewohnt glitschige amerikanische Dreck machte die Strecke ziemlich knifflig. Die Athleten hatten Mühe, auf der an sich schnell und flüssig aussehenden Strecke ihren Rhythmus zu finden. Das Wetter sollte nun aber trocken bleiben und somit dürften sich die Bedingungen bis zum Sonntag noch wesentlich ändern.  

Floriane Pugin und Emilie Siegenthaler waren heute bereits mit ihren 2011er Voltage DH Bikes unterwegs, und während ich diese Zeilen schreibe, schrauben die Mechaniker schon an den neuen Gambler Rahmen für Nick Beer und Fabien Pedemanaud.  

Interessante News gibt's von der UCI: Floriane Pugin führt nach ihrer Silbermedaille an der Europameisterschaft die UCI Weltrangliste an und Nick Beer ist durch seine Silbermedaille auf den 9 Weltranglistenplatz aufgestiegen.

Aujourd'hui il faisait grand beau mais l'inhabituelle boue américaine a tout de même rendu la piste glissante et difficile. Les athlètes ont eu de la peine à trouver leur rythme sur cette piste rapide et fluide. Le temps devrait toutefois rester sec et les conditions de course devraient ainsi s'améliorer considérablement jusqu'à dimanche.  

Floriane Pugin et Emilie Siegenthaler ont enfourché leurs nouveaux Voltage DH 2011 et pendant que je vous écris ces quelques lignes, les mécaniciens s'affairent déjà à monter les nouveaux cadres Gambler pour Nick Beer et Fabien Pedemanaud.

Il y a encore une nouvelle intéressante de la part de l'UCI: après sa médaille d'argent aux Championnats d'Europe, Floriane Pugin prend la tête du classement mondial UCI et Nick Beer, aussi médaillé d'argent, remonte à la 9ème place.
