Peat and Minnaar to host Men XC LIVE during absence of Martin Whiteley
Reigning DH World Champion, Steve Peat (left), and former DH World Champion and teammate Greg Minnaar (right) will be hosting the Men's XC LIVE from Val di Sole.
Steve started his cycling career as an XC racer before moving onto DH... but remains an avid XC rider and has hosted the annual Wharncliffe Weekender charity XC race near his home in Sheffield for many years.
Greg is also an accomplished XC rider and compete's in multi-day stage races during the off season as part of his fitness programme.
Our regular anchor, Martin Whiteley, received sad news that his mother passed away whilst he was at the World Cup in Champery. Despite such tragic circumstances, Martin still went on to deliver commentary for the Champery races whilst he waited for a flight home. He is now back in Australia with his family, so on behalf of Freecaster and our viewers we wish him the best during this tough time... and look forward to welcoming him back for the final round in Windham.
*Please note: the Women's XC race will receive an audio feed from the MC on site in Val di Sole.
