10 questions for… Alex “Lez” Lezaic

Ambassador for our friends over at EXTREME, Alex 'Lez' Lezaic answers our questions on living in the 3 Vallees, taking up Telemark and smoking hot Polo chicks....

Age: 29 Born in: London, England Lives in: Meribel, Trois Vallees, France Sport: Ski/Telemark Years with Extreme: 2

Q. How did you get into your sport and what do you love about it?

"I guess it was falling in love with the sport on my first ski holiday. Ever since then, I've just wanted to get better and better. Since then I've started to telemark as well as alpine ski, which is even more fun in my opinion."

Q. What’s been the highlight of your career so far?

"Probably learning to telemark and actually realising that I prefer it to alpine skiing. It's opened up a whole new chapter in my life out here."

Q. What do you want to achieve in your sport in the future?

"Ideally get a podium spot in the FIS Telemark World Cup one day!"

Q. Who inspires you the most in your sport and why?

"Probably the three Lau brothers, Sven, Chris, and Phil. They're also residents in Meribel and good mates of mine. We ride together most days. All three of them have been on said podium together at the same time!"

Q. What is your favourite place to ride and why?

"Well, I would be lying if I said it wasn't the 3 Valleys. It's home and it's the largest natural skiing area in the world. No brainer."

Q. What music is on your playlist when you ride?

"A lot of reggae for cruising pow and still a fair amount of aggressive dub step."

Q. Which Extreme Sports Channel show would you most like to star in and why?

"Obviously Mantracker!"

Q. If you could be a pro at any sport, what would it be?

"Polo. I've played it before and it's super exhilarating. Also, most of the chicks that watch the sport are smoking hot."

Q. What advice would you give to someone who wants to ski for the first time?

"Make sure you find yourself a decent instructor to begin with. Also, pick a resort that is suitable for beginners. Better still, get ahead of the game in an indoor snow centre near you."

Q. If you could have three wishes, what would they be?

"Right now one would have to be to get rid of this stinking hangover. Two: never to be hung over again. Three: For it to be winter all year round in Meribel with bluebird powder days, EVERY day!
