New York City will host the Dew Tour for the first time ever when the City Championships visit Brooklyn in September. The Dew Tour will also return to Portland after a two-year absence and visit Ocean City and Breckenridge.
The City Championships in The Big Apple and Portland will both showcase the thrilling new discipline of BMX and skateboard streetstyle, in which athletes will take over iconic downtown locations for a freestyle showdown.
The competition will also pay a visit to the world famous House of Vans in Brooklyn for street events inspired by the city’s legendary skate spots.
Prior to that the Dew Tour, which awards victors in each event a prestigious Dew Cup, kicks off on the sands of Ocean City, Maryland, for a fourth consecutive time, on June 25th and features events in various skateboarding, BMX and surfing disciplines.
Portland then welcomes the tour in August with the introduction of streetstyle before the exciting first visit to New York on September 20th.
As usual the Dew Tour will then come to a close in the mountains of Colorado when the world’s best skiers and snowboarders begin their competitive season in Breckenridge.
