The special magazine causes controversy every year for picturing some of the world’s biggest sports stars doing what they do best – minus their clothes - and last year some our favourite athletes took the photo shoots by storm, with Coco Ho, Jamie Anderson and Travis Pastrana baring all.
And our representatives from the action sports world this year are Brazilian skateboarding sensation Leticia Bufoni, wakeboarding superstar Dallas Friday and big wave surfer Laird Hamilton, along with his wife – pro volleyball player Gabby Reece.
Leticia Bufoni is one of the biggest female action sports stars on the planet and has won three X Games Gold medals in Skateboard Street. "I'm going to skate forever," she told ESPN. "Maybe I'll skate professionally until I'm 40. But I see myself really old and still skating around."
Arguably one of the greatest big wave surfers ever, and pioneer of tow-in surfing, Laird Hamilton may have just passed 50 years old but he's still spending as much time on the waves as possible. "Aging is a mindset," he said. "It's not really something that happens to you other than your hair gets gray and your skin gets a little wrinkly."
Wakeboarder Dallas Friday has X Games gold in her trophy cabinet, but believes the best thing about her sport is that it pushes her body, naked or not, to the limit. "We make the insane and unreasonable become possible," she said. "That's what action sports are all about; we put our bodies on the line."
