The Oakley Arctic Challenge decides TTR World Champion

  • The inaugural edition of the Winter X Games Europe in the French resort of Tignes begins on the 10th March, and with a confirmed list of top-level freestyle athletes (ski and snowboard) including Winter X Games 14 Gold medalist Bobby Brown, 2010 Olympic Bronze medalist Scotty Lago, 2010 Olympic Gold medalist Torah Bright, Winter X Games 8 Bronze medalist Antti Autti and Winter X Games 14 Gold medalist Kaya Turski, expectations are running high for both the superpipe contest that will take place in a pipe identical in size to the one use at Winter X Games 14 in Aspen (220 meters long, 18 meters wide, 5 to 6 meters high!) and the slopestyle, which will take place on a 600m long course featuring 8 different types of jump and 4 rails, including one 12 meters long! - Snowboard: European Winter X-Games 2010 LIVE
  • New TTR World Champion crowned at historical slopestyle

The crowds at Tryvann Vinterpark in Oslo, Norway witnessed a piece of snowboarding history as 21-year old Peetu Piiroinen took first place in today's slopestyle competition THE OAKLEY ARCTIC CHALLENGE 2010. In two weeks time he will be crowned TTR World Snowboard Champion at the final 6Star event on the tour, the Burton US Open. Two Oakley riders from Norway  - Torstein Horgmo in second place and Mikkel Bang in third rounded up the podium at the OAKLEY ARCTIC CHALLENGE.

  • It was a great weekend in Oslo - bluebird weather and the world's best athletes competing at The Oakley Arctic Challenge in Norway.  The \"TAC\", founded by snowboarding legend and long time Oakley athlete Terje Haakonsen, is one of the biggest snowboard events in the world and was held for the 11th time.
